Homemakers Wodonga owners and managers Russ and Kerrie have a strong commitment to supporting the community through sponsorship.
“Having grown up in regional communities and being heavily involved in participating in sport, sponsorship of sporting clubs is something that resonates with us,” Russ said.
“We understand how difficult it is to get sponsorship in sporting clubs yet we also know that sport is the lifeblood of communities, so that’s where most of our support has been directed, as well as local schools.
Homemakers Wodonga regularly donates goods that are often used for raffle prizes or auction items.
“Sometimes it might be donating a few pillows for a raffle, or a bed for a silent auction, but where we can we’ll direct our support where we feel it’s most needed.”
Kerrie is also active in the business community as a board member of Wodonga Chamber of Commerce.
“I was invited to nominate for the board and enjoy playing a role in helping guide the strategic direction of the chamber as a voice for business in the region.
“Wodonga Chamber is here to support not just retail, but every business from the smallest sole trader through to the biggest industry. Our core purpose is to foster the development of a world class business community, and I’m proud to play a part in that,” said Kerrie.
